PAN 2.0 Project Approved by Union Cabinet

Government approved an e-governance upgrade of PAN/TAN systems, including QR-enabled PAN.
The Union Cabinet approved the PAN 2.0 project in November 2024 to modernise PAN/TAN services on a single digital platform with QR-code enabled PAN and paperless, faster services.
Existing PAN holders do not need to apply again.
