Aadhaar Enrolment ID No Longer Accepted for PAN Applications

From 1 Oct 2024, Aadhaar enrolment ID cannot be quoted in PAN applications or returns.
Following Budget 2024 amendments, the Aadhaar enrolment ID can no longer be used for PAN applications or income tax returns from 1 October 2024.
CBDT has also issued guidance on PANs allotted using an enrolment ID; confirm the latest position on the official portal.
